Hey everyone,
I was wondering would you gise prefer a glass tank over a custom built enclosure to house ATB's? Also, which one of the following would you gise choose to keep up the humidity? spraying, humidifier, or "bed-a-beast" (sort of like peat moss), or are there other ways?

Thanks,
Ben

Definitely a custom enclosure for most snakes, especially arboreal snakes such as ATB. Leave the tanks for the fish ;) They need optimum ventilation balanced with humidity which cannot be acheived in a glass tank... it can ultimately be the death of them. Custom enclosures are also very easy to keep up humidity in since they are designed specifically for that. Arboreal snakes should have their enclosures misted down... not as important for ATB as it is for GTP/ETB (they only drink from their coils), but still important. A large waterbowl in the bottom of the cage, newspaper substrate works fine. Mist as needed to maintain humidity, you can also add foggers to the equation.

well from my point of view misting atb is as important as for gtp or etb just because of shedding ... you dont wanna be stuck with a 7 foot amazon with a really bad shed im telling you he will be pissed off :) maintain good humidity i strongly suggest :) and a clean setup :) have fun
