Walmart has both, vermiculite and perlite, most pet stores have mosses and Home Depot has spagnum moss.

Good Luck

Perlite is not the best, it cannot hold moisture and water basicly drips down to the bottom of the container.

Not all Wal Marts have perlite or vermiculite. My one doesn't at least and it has a huge garden center. I them at a local garden store.

Try any place that has a garden centre (WalMart, Home Hardware, HomeDepot), and any local garden centres... all *should* carry it, but at least one of them will ;) Very few pet stores carry it.

I actually disagree about Perlite not being able to hold moisture. I incubate my eggs in pertile it delicups (that have a few holes in the side) and once the perlite is wet it does not dry out at all. My girl was eating the vermiculite and I found it harbored mold more easily so I stopped using it.
