Western Hog not feeding

Hello, I recently purchased a Western Hognose Snake. I am having trouble getting it to take food. She is about three to four weeks old, I got her last sunday (July 6) and tried feeding her on Tuesday (when I fed my other snake) and then today (Thursday) which is a week from when I was told she was fed last. Anyway, both attempts failed.

Does anyone have any suggestions or experience with Western Hog and their behaviour.

Any help would be appreciated.

You're trying to feed the snake too often. Once a week should be all it needs.

leave it to get used to the cage in a quiet room for 2 weeks, to settle in, then try feeding

and it is a Western Hognose, the snake of legendary food strikes for absolutely no good reason, the animals which worries it's owners for no reason on a regular basis, the animal that will never play dead in front of company but rolls over with tongue out when your alone opening the cage to feed it. A very frustrating but rewarding animal to own lol.

make his food toad cented or put him in a little box with his food and leave him alone

I agree with the rest about leaving him alone with the food for a couple of hours. Small container. You may want to try to offer it a brained pinkie.

I am having trouble with mine not taking the hoppers im giving him. The first 4 feedings went smooth and he ate pretty much right away. Now he will just eye it up a bit, and then keep on moving along. Its been about 2.5 weeks and he has still not eaten. When should i begin to take some drastic measures to make sure he eats?

HtotheB, not to worry. When you start seeing a bag of bones then worry. Hogs are notorious for going off feed!

Alright thanks. I tried putting a brained hopper in with him and he still didn't touch it. hehe.. SO i guess i'lkl have to wait it out and just keep trying every day or two...
