Hi all i have not yet got a chance to breed my leopard geckos but i am getting a really skiny male in the next fwe days i am going to fatten him up to about 40 grams such as my female that is going to breed with him already is .... is that what i should do? i was also wondering if it was like breeding snakes do i need to get them cool and for about a month and the heat them up prety hot?

before u breed them u need to make sure u have some vermiculite to put the eggs in once they are layed, and u need to have an incubator, cuz if u dont i believe they will shrivvle up in like 12 hours, but good luck

oh yea i have tons of vermiculite and a hovabator i am snake breeder but i have always kept leos and love them i just have not got a chance to breed them corectley untill now

You do not need to cool leos to breed them. Just house a male and a few females together, and viola! Also, 40 grams is not that big. Personally, I would wait until they are a little bigger. Mine were about 60 grams, I think.

ok ok sounds good but i am not going to bread all of them just 1 pair and i will let them get a little bigger first thanx

the reason i said to house a male with a few females is because if he only has one female in his enclosure, he will pester her like crazy. if they are in a good sized cage with more females, he is not picking on one all the time. but im not sure if u planned on housing him with the females all the time or not.
