And this is the female, She is a nasty little bugger and makes a weird noise, it rubs its scales together and shounds like a rain maker. Very weird snakes, thats all i have to say about them. the female ate 2 quale eggs too.

Hey snake hunter and coy,
You can get quail eggs in chinese food markets (food markets in any chinatown). The food markets often sell them by the dozen and i think its around a buck each or so. Haven't been to chinatown lately. BTW, Jordan, you said those were adults? Wow they're quite small. Good luck with em!

Thanks,
Ben

how did you feed them, did you just leave the egg in there for them...or did you have to tease at all????

The inside of the snake has a spinal bump like a spike and it helps crack the egg open

it has a few spike like bones coming off it its spine, it wiggles back and forth driving these "spikes" into the shell, after he gets the good stuff out, out comes the shell :S, NASTY! one of the egg eaters took the eggs without a problem, with the other one, I just fed it in a container, both are doing great. I recorded it eating as well, for fun. I think i can watch it all day:P! Vanan, i think they are both encyclopędia britannica. they range from a brown to a grey with a dimond pattern. http://home.neo.rr.com/edzoo/Egg%20Eater%20Pics/rhombic%20var.jpg

i will keep you up to date with my egg eaters.
