Hi All,

Here's the situation... I am moving to British Columbia, Canada in the very near future. Just wanted to know if anyone had any suggestions for good boa/python breeders near the Okanogan Valley/Kelowna area. I want to get a baby columbian boa so I will be looking for a reputable breeder who has been recommended by fellow herpers.

I would also be interested in anyone in the area who specializes in building custom enclosures for large snakes.

Any suggestions for herp clubs/organizations in that area that I could join would be great too.

Appreciate Your Input!

You're moving to Kelowna eh? Sweet! It's so nice here. As far as breeders go there are several in the Okanagan and surrounding areas, shipping is easy peasy too! Plus if you move here by Nov 1&2 there's a show in Abbotsford. Just an easy 4 hour drive away! Lots to choose from I'm sure.

I'm not sure what breeders there are up there but Henry Piorun and a few other boa breeders are only 3-4 hrs away. As far as cages go Beth Wallbank is the person to talk to, she makes custom enclosures that work great. I have a few of her cages and she can make them in any size you need.

Thanks for the posts so far.
I would like to get to know anyone who lives in or near the Kelowna/Okanogan valley area who keeps reptiles and loves them as much as I do. Will be starting fresh and won't know anyone when I move and won't have a social life so hopefully I'll meet some fellow herpers soon after I move :)
I would love to hear from anyone who shares my interest in reptiles and would have any advice and I can probably relate with some of my more interesting experiences.
Also, if anyone knows of any reptile shows or events in or near the area I would love to hear about them.
Please contact me at cpuguy4@hotmail.com or just post here.
Thanks,
