What are some of the basic information a person has to know before buying a boa constrictor.

For Example:

How big do they get (length/weight)?
Whats the ideal tank size for a adult?
What do they eat?
Whats the price for an adult or baby (u.s dollar)?
Are they tame, or do they bite?
Are they like ball pythons? (Easier or harder)
is it a expert snake, or can you have one if you already have a snake?
Any other things to help me out before i get one?

P.S. I own a ball already (4 months old)

How big do they get (length/weight)? between 6 and 9 feet, and between 20 and 40 lbs
Whats the ideal tank size for a adult? You'll need a cage at least 4 x 2 x 2, but ideally the cage length should be 2/3s the length of the animal, and the depth should be 1/2 the length. 1.5-2' is enough in height.
What do they eat? Babies eat fuzzy rats, sub-adults eat small-med rats. Adults can eat large rats, and big adults can eat rabbits.
Whats the price for an adult or baby (u.s dollar)? 100$
Are they tame, or do they bite? THey are usually very tame (of course babies are nippy)
Are they like ball pythons? (Easier or harder) Easier, but not really comparable.
is it a expert snake, or can you have one if you already have a snake? I got a boa as one of my first snakes. They are good beginner snakes (except their size makes it harder for them to keep)
Any other things to help me out before i get one?

YES. It's good to ask questions, but you've been asking really really obvious ones. I'm very happy to answer them for you, but it's way better for you to do the research yourself first, and THEN ask questions about stuff you couldn't find. Just go to yahoo.com and search for Boa Care or Red-Tailed Boa care. You'll find tons of links with almost all the info you'll need.

Well what kind of boa constrictor were you interested in? There are little differences between all subspecies and in some cases, such as hogs, locale as well ;)

I like the normal species, but what other kind are cool?

It depends on what you like... there are Suranimes, Guyanas, Colombians and Hog Islands (there are more, but htose are the main ones).
Look up some pictures and see which you like best.
