question about my new Bp

Hi Can I stick my new adult female ball in with my adult male or will they fight. is it a good idea.

In my opinion, which I'm basing on things I've read and things that I know large breeders do, I feel that snakes should never be housed together. Here are some points that I keep in mind and reasons why I do not house snakes together.
1. The presence of another animal in their space represents competition, competition leads to stress.
2. Stress leads to loss of appetite and or disease.
3. If one sick gets sick they can both get sick.
4. How do you know who is defecating and who is not?
5. Snakes are not social animals so although captivity its self is not natural forcing two animals to live together is even more unnatural.
In your case your likely to end up with eggs. Unless you want them to breed then keep them apart. If you want them to breed then wait a few more months.

I don't think you should put them together. Take the size of your tank for your one python, and double or tripple the size of that. Get a cage that big, then put them together. If you can't afford to buy a cage that big, then don't put them together. And no matter the size of the cage they might fight, no matter what. You also might end up with more snakes than you want if you put a male and female together. If your not ready for any of that, then just get a 10 dollar rubber maid and put the new snake in there!

If you do decide to house them together (though as Trevor gave a lot of the great reasons you shouldn't), you need to quarantine your new snake for at least 6 months before introducing it. But snakes only come together in the wild for breeding, and IMHO thats the way it should be kept in captivity as well.
