do you happen to know what the scientific name of the parents is called? i wanna see some pics of what they look like :) unless you have some of yours?

There name is Stenodactylus sthenodactylus. Here is a link where Rant and I posted a pic. http://www.ssnakess.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=17805 I am trying to get some better pics.
The eggs are very hard to find being so small. They are constantly digging and moving dirt around so its next to impossible to realize when they have laid.

I was wondering what happens if you don't catch them. Will they hatch in the tank, and if so, do babies become lunch?

I have not had any hatch in the tank but have heard it is possible. I just go through the sand with a strainer once a week looking for eggs.

Be very careful using the strainer method I mentioned above. I broke 2 beautifully little eggs last night.
