Hello everyone,
I picked up a little Baird's Rat Snake at the show on Sunday, and I'll try and get pics soon. (s)he is crazy! Every time I put my hand in the enclosure, he/she tail rattles and scurries away. Then after a little bit he/she starts to bite. I got bitten 3 times yesterday, 2 drew a little bit of blood and I only felt one. It sure took me a long time to convince my dad to let me get the snake, and every time he/she burrows I get REALLY scared thinking it escaped, because if it does escape, my dad will kill me lol.
Anyways I have a few questions:
How exactly do you pronounce the word Baird's?
And
It always hangs out at the top of the aquarium right by the lid on this little ledge, is there a reason for that or is it just trying to get out?
Oh and feel free to post pictures of Your Baird's! Like I said I'll get pics up soon.
