This is a nice female hypo carpet from 2 years ago.
Has the strangest markings I have ever seen on a carpet and her back is nearly red.

I had a great weekend at the reptile show, only got 4 new carpets(my wifes going to kill me,hehe)

I just got word of a clutch of hypo hatchlings selling in Sydney for $30,000 some wierd snakes but I dont have pix of em yet.

The biggest one 7 1/2 feet in really nice with
lots of orange and gold. Another striped one and
a hatchling from a friends nice northern pair.

Canary-yellow and jet-black. I love this snake. Super friendly as well. The pic does not do her colours justice. Lots of stripng too!

Well I will finish the 5 days with the Jaguar carpet. My head swims with all those wild Aussie
carpets.I think the Jaguars will be a great project
with many new colors and patterns to come.
And we will all be watching closely OZ happenings.

Hi Guys, love all the carpets, Rick i am soooo jealous, your snakes are exceptional. Love the GTPS, are they Australian ones? Or are they the Guinea ones that were allowed under amnesty? It was a suprise wedding present for me.

Funny story......

So, it's supposed to be a suprise. Sheila had paid for it before last years TARAS spring show.

The spring show comes along, and we are broke. I'm thinking that we should have some money, and I think I said "it's like $1000 has gone missing somewhere"

So we get to the show, and Dean Harper is standing there.
"what are you doing" I say
"waiting for Henry so I can pick up my snake"
"what are you getting"
"same thing you are"
"4 Diamond pythons" I joked
"your getting 4????" He almost fainted.

At this point, I picked up some Midwest stuff off of the floor, giving Sheila enough time to kick dean and mouth "it's a suprise"

"Actually, I'm getting a cornsnake" Dean said.

Later on in the evening, I wondered why Dean would have drove all of this way, to meet Henry before the show, to get a cornsnake. I thought maybe it was some new morph or something, who knows.

The next day, during the morning lecture and reading of the rules, Mark and Kyle came over and said "nice Diamond" or something like that.

My spider senses were just starting to tingle.

I confronted Sheila, in a somewhat pissed off way, and said... "
"You didn't speak for it, did you?"

I could tell by the look in her face, that it was our snake. Then she told me that she had been saving money since the wedding to give it to me for a wedding gift.

So, yeah, it is one of our favorite snakes.

What you guys think of this big jungle male. He is 6 ft and very very girthy. How would he go if he was put to s smaller female, is he too big, female is about 3/4 his girth and another female is only 1/2 is girth.

But big males can mate with smaller females and vice versa, no problems.

Mark, as you know, males don't HAVE to be chunky. But it does no harm usually. As long as he has good muscle-tone, he'll be a star breeder no problems. I'd let the thing grow and become an even-more impressive animal than it already is!!

Henry brought in?
Mark I did have a chunky Irian Jaya male that
I did have to put on a diet to get him to want to bred. But he was also a mature adult male and
I was feeding him to much. I like lanky males
for my breeders. But yes let him at those girls!

Jeff that hi-yellow is soooo cool.
What were the breeding pair like that produced it.

We have a breed in the wild like that from a place called Cullen Gorge but they are only new and would not be legal for them to be over there except by smuggler's.
Any idea where it came from mate ??

Oh and a bit of news for you all. A reptile park over here has just aquired an albino small blotched python.
It was found in a caravan at a camping area and handed in FOR FREE!!! The bloody idiots had no idea what they gave away.

Its white all over, no colour at all and has red eyes.
I will try and get a pic for you soon.

Our biggest female jungle, and quite tame. She has a very healthy appetite, her girth is twice as big around as the male.

Jeff has the most 'striking' female jungle we ever had, lucky guy (or not)
