Took this pic outside this evening.
This is my male. He was really checking out the purple "Clematis" vine in the background. I could see him thinking about how easy it would be to slip into the mass of tendrils and just disappear before I could catch him, lol!

SIMON, HOW BIG DO THESE GET BECAUSE THEY REALLY ARE NICE LOOKING. THEY ARE CONSIDERED TO BE IN THE RAT FAMILY IS THAT RIGHT?

D.A.; I've read that they can attain a length of 13 feet! I'd say that adults usually run about 7-8 feet.

Yes, people call them "Tiger Rat Snakes" but after actually owning some for a while, I can't bring myself to call them "Rat Snakes". My two don't really constrict prey (my female will only take live mice), and their body shape is very different. They act more like arboreal racers than rat snakes.
