Hot heading is simply dipping the head of the prey into hot water just before giving it to snake. It is nothing more then a quick added heat source to entice the snake to eat. Used in conjunction with braining can give good feeding results. Another trick is using chicken broth (not chicken soup) and dip the head only. It enhances the smell of the prey both mice and rats. I use all three methods to get food into the bellies of my ball pythons, the chicken broth never really did anything for me on the kings or milks though. Hope this helps
