Well last night around 5pm my gravid female Ambilobe started digging a hole. Night came and she was still in her hole, when morning broke the hole was filled in, she was basking in the suns rays at the top of her cage and no longer gravid. I dug up the clutch and found 23 pure white eggs, so far everything looks good. They are incubating in vermiculite. Now comes the long wait.
WOW!!!!!!
That's just awesome! That's a nice clutch size too, not too big, not too small. Give that female a plump silkworm from me... and while you are doing that, I'll be kidnapping those eggs! LOL!
Congrats John! :D I've got my fingers crossed that everything will go well for you.

She likes the hornworms right now. I received them with my silkworm egg order, but normally they are green, and these are more like a blue color! I don't know about kidnapping them, you have a long drive to do that!LOL Plus they are under lock and key, and you will first have to get past the guard dog! LOL For this being her first clutch I could not ask for anything more.
HAHAHAHAHAHA! Sounds like I've got my work cut out for me getting those eggs! LOL!
Bah... I'm just jealous, I'd love a pair of Ambilobes. You might be hearing from me in 9-12 months...
Congrats again! :D

Well as the famous fraise goes "don't count your chicks before they hatch" (I think that is how it goes) anyway I know pardalis hatch rates are high 95-100% but you never know what could happen from now. LOL! Do you have any Ambilobe pardalis locale in Canada yet?

Sssoooo true! I've got a pile of various chameleon eggs incubating here, whether I have a pile of chameleons in a few months remains to be seen. I hope so! And this awful heat wave I am having isn't helping matters much either! GRRR!
I do know of the odd person with Ambilobes/Picasso's up here, but they are few and far between. Some have pairs, some just have lone males. They certainly aren't as prevalent in Canada as they are in the US.
Hey... I look at it this way... I've got 9-12 months to organize the CITES paperwork for some of yours. It'll probably take that long anyways! LOL!
Cheers!

Why would you want an Ambilobe pardalis, they are SOO ugly?LOL I have a great idea, I made a poll so we can see what locale is favored!

Congrats!! :D That's awesome... now for the long wait... LOL :)
I don't know if I could handle breeding chams -- it's bad enough waiting 2-3 months for my leo eggs to hatch! LOL....

It is hot here to! To HOT!LOL It must have been in the high 90F today. I am still waiting on the Rhampholeon uluguruensis eggs, I swear she is gravid. She keeps digging small holes but no eggs. I saw one of the two females mate, and when the time is right I expect eggs. They love little silkworms.
