Hey,
I was wondering if anyone knew if anyone in canada has EVER produced a snow boa? Also, what is the market price for a snow boa?
Thanks,
Ben:D

No they haven't been produced here yet and the market price is $5,000US. That would be about $6,900CDN. But then you have to factor in CITES, shipping, and all that jazz and now you're looking at roughly $7,500CDN.
You should see them starting to be produced in Canada within the next couple years however, as there are a few people working with DB hets ;)

Actually, an albino is just 1/3 of the way to a snow. Then you need an anery, then you need to make double hets, THEN you can produce the snow.
I'll be getting the albino 100% het anery and anery 100% het albino at the end of this summer. Adults if I can afford it, babies if I have no money left.

HMMM I thought u needed to breed an albino with an anery to get a snow? If you dont get a snow with anery x albino, then what do you get? Also, does anyone know how many times the offspring can be inbred to produce a snow without getting any problems such as producing mutts or runts from too many times of inbreeding?

Anery x Albino gives you ALL NORMALS that are 100% double het.
As for predicting when hidden deliterious/lethal alleles will occur in a generation due to inbreeding? Well that is next to impossible. You'd have to map the genome first, and then work out the probabilities. NOT going to happen in our lifetimes.

Hey!
Well Reptileboi,
If u breed a albino and a anery.. It would give make all DH(doublehets)-As Jeff said.
These still do cost alot of $$ in the market!
As U CAN SEE BIGDAN HAS NO PROBLEMs!!!I HATE U..LOL
I did a buch of research for snows-(n my bud gave me some info)
So i think i understand them..
But what i really want to know Is stuff about Sunglows....Do u also need DH to make them?..

Sunglows are the same as snows, except that instead of the anery gene, you have the hypo gene. But the hypo gene is co-dominant, so hets are visible and there's a greater chance of hitting the sunglow when breeding double hets.
hey guy's i have a albino and anery and a hypo so hopefully i can produce snows and sunglows soon enough thanks alot guy's for the great info you alkl have gaven.
