Awesome snakes. Are those ones fanged/venomous? I heard someone say that all water snakes are venomous, but I don't think that's entirely accurate..

they are not at all. the only snakes is the USA that you are going to find in the water at a lake or creek or something that are venoumus is a cotton mouth (water mocosin what ever you want to call them) all water snakes in the genus Nerodia are harmless they have a nasty temper if you try to pic them up and will not at all have a problem with bitting you but are non-venoumus. i think it is human nature when they see a snake in the water come to a conclution that they are venoumus but i would say 9 out of 10 times when some one kills a snake in the water because it is "dangurous" it is going to be a water snake. also the cotton mouths have a nicer more mild temperment then the water snakes.

Why do Plainbellies always have this pose before they're about to strike? I don't get it... but it's cool.
