The last of the Eastern Indigos hatched today for a total of 12 babies :w It was kind of appropriate that they finished today being Kyle's birthday & all. There were 14 eggs all together in the beginning. One went bad (for no reason  ) & one "drowned" while pipping :( Anyhow a dozen baby Indigos!
WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO HOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!
We'll be posting pics soon for everyone to enjoy. Mark I.

P.S. HAPPY B-DAY KYLE, YOU ARE "THE MAN" :p

I've been waiting for this post for a while.

Glad to hear that the 12th one is out - congrats.

So how many days was it from laying to hatching?

The 14 eggs were laid on March 23 & all appeared A-OK at that point. One started to go bad around a month ago, not sure why (ask Mother Nature) & the 2nd or 3rd one to pip was the one that didn't come out, DOH! I believe the first pipped on the 19th (88 days) & was out on the 20th (89) & the last pipped yesterday (93) & was out today (94 days). There was 5 days anyhow that Kyle recv. a lot of calls from me LOL. They were incubated at approx. 77-79 f mostly at around 78, but I'd have to double check with Kyle for sure on highs/lows. An old dresser & a heating pad were used as an incubator. Why? Why not. It was stable & it obviously worked LOL. Pretty creative on Kyle's part. We both thought that it was pretty cool that #12 waited for Kyle's BD. I'm glad the little buggers are finally done anyhow. Long wait was well worth it.

Hey, the eggs were laid on Sheila's birthday.

I think the only right thing to do, would be for you and Kyle to give her a baby indigo.

THX everyone & its "Hats off to Kyle" because he is the keeper of the Indigos & was in charge of incubation also. Ya Ryan tell Sheila theres some Good & Bad news about giving her one. The good: sure she can have one. The bad: it would be the 13th one thats still in the egg. Sorry no such luck Sheila LOL. We will be tempted to keep them all for ourselves heh heh, but you guys may be able to pry one from us! Mark
P.S. For all the Indigo people who will want to know. They all appear good so far & there is only evidence of one with a tiny "tail kink", but not too serious. >(

In reguards to releasing any, we will probably keep 1/2 & trade/sell the other 6. No rush to get rid of any yet. We will get them all established feeding, sex them & go from there. We aren't making any deals (or promises) at this point, but anyone interested that emails us will be considered when we do decide what we are doing with them. We will most likely trade for other highend snakes & to throw an approx. dollar figure out there for those who want to know, they'll be around at least $2,000.00 CDN a pair. I know it seems steep, but they are well worth it. Look at Albino Boas for an example they go for $1,500.00 CDN each & are available almost year round by the dozens & can be brought in from the States etc also. Good luck finding someone with baby Indigos for sale in Canada, if you do have them contact me as we'll be interested in dealing with them for some. Not trying to be ignorant or anything, but just stating the facts. These snakes are rarely available for sale in Canada & therefore they are not going to be cheap.
THX for all the compliments & praise everyone. Mark I.
