sinking eggs

hi everyone,

on may 18th my female corn laid her first clutch of eggs ever. She laid 11 of them all of them where perfect. I have them placed in a hovabator temps are kept at 80. about 2 weeks after i put them in the incubator the egg thats on the top(cause they were all stuck together) kinda sank in a little. now 3 other have sank in just a tiny bit. i have added more water to the vermiculite. is there anything else i could do. these eggs maybe have a little over 3 weeks left and i don't want to come this far and lose any of them. any more suggestions would be appreciated.

The all still look nice and white other than a little dent no mold and nothing else. thanks agian.

If your humidity & temps are proper you have nothing to do but wait. Eggs almost always will start to indent towards the end of their incubation. If the humidity is proper it has nothing to do with them being too dry, but is because the babies inside are "sucking up" all their yolks as they grow inside the eggs. Its a sign that they are getting closer to hatching, because they are slowly using up all the "food" inside the egg, causing them to indent. Check your levels & if they are OK sit back & let nature run its course. If your humidity is too low & the eggs are indenting due to that you can use some damp spagnum moss around the top of them to help moisten them up again. I wouldn't reccomend keeping the moss in there though, but just use it for a couple of days to "moisten up" the top eggs if required. Good Luck Mark I.

I'm not really too worried i just wanted to make sure everything would be ok. i notice my leo eggs doing that but usually it's only a few days to a week before they hatch. Not 3 weeks...
