Where is the best place to put your hydrogram in your cage? I really need know because I put mine in the center of the cage and 6 inches from the floor. There is a heat mat under the water bowl. If I move the water bowl with the mat still underneath the humidity changes.

Under the heatlamp- 60%
in the middle- 80%
unheated side- 70%

Please give me any info concerning this!

Thanks Appreciated.

Heat rises, humidity sinks. Needless to say, the lower you go or the closer to a water source you go, the higher the reading will be. The best method is to just measure it wherever your critter will be... if it's an arboreal snake, measure the humidity where he will be. Ground snake, measure it at the ground level.
