I have 1.2 four year old leo geckos in a 33 gallon tank. Between September and January when they're supposed to stop breeding should I seperate the male from the females?

Yes definately. Be sure to feed them very well before you do. To be sure that they won't lose to much weight during thier cool down. Then in afew months you can start warming them up again, and feed them heavily for a few weeks, making sure they are all eating very well, then re-introduce the male to the females. Really, you could just introduce the male and make sure he copulates with all the females twice then keep him seperate for the rest of the year until they are ready for the next breeding season. Females can reatain sperm for the entire year. It's pretty easy with leos. :D Take care!

I would say you could do either. We have a 33 gallon with 1.2 leos. They stay together all year. In the early spring they start to lay eggs and they stop near the end of the summer or early fall.
If your male doesn't seem to be pestering the girls, and they are all fat enough, I wouldn't be concerned. However, you're not going to hurt anything by taking the male out.

Your call.
