heat lamp Q

hi ime back i went to my grans 4 a week and poped in to feed kurt and woooo! he is sheding (i didnt disturb him) he was lying in his new water bowl wen i came in i put a defrosted mouse in a small tray and oferd it to him he didnt pay any notis so i took it out. well my Q is ime geting a cp this sat ive allready got its baby tank ready but i whant to know for his adult enclosure ime going to use a heat lamp and i know u need a cage around the bulb so he wont burn himself but what do i use as the cage plz plz plz help
ps his baby tank is looking good will post a pic up wen i get him/

I had a lot of trouble understanding your post, so please correct me if I am wrong...

You are getting a carpet python (I guessed that from your signature), and you want to make a lamp guard for its future adult cage?

I have attached a picture of a simple lamp guard. Just buy hardware cloth from any home improvement store. Make sure the hardware cloth is not coated with plastic, as the plastic will burn.

Other designs would be to just make it into a box shape and screw it onto the cage ceiling. If you do a search, there are several posts regarding this on ssnakess.
