There is absolutly nothing wrong with Dumerals other then they're not Peachthroats. :D If people want color get a cham. I love those (dum's) as well. Did it eat that catipiller? How is it outside? Won't it take off? Gotta love monitor pics!

We did a picnic in the ward, he stayed in my apple tree all the time, he must of eaten a few bugs don’t know? But he didn’t eat the caterpillar.
Dumeril and Microsticus are fun this way they don’t run away from us.

Dam that second pic is even better! Those are gorgous. They don't run away. But are they considered friendly? Well as friendly as monitor can be I meen. Like crocs or savs I guess is the comparision.

He is beautifull, Dum's are my fav monitor.
Dumerals i feel are one of the easiest species to keep.. relativly inexpensive if they are available and are quite easy to tame. Very entertaining to watch as well.. Nice pics as usual steve!

This is one of my females, she’s quit extraverted and fun to watch and play with as well, on a scale of 1 to 10 as one of the best captive varanids, I have to say they are no1 as far as indo species go. Enjoy

Is it ok to breed the clutch mates together? They won't have hillybilly offspring? Damn they are nice but I think I am still addicted to Jobiensis. :D

I try not to inbreed, the dumerils are from 2 bloodlines, thats how I usualy pair them up. Jobiensis get as nice and easy to handle as dumerils, but they are 10 times more colorfull, most pepoles only see WC nervous and flighty, no monitors hit my soft spot like babies Jobiensis when they jump on me for food.

oh ok I was just wondering! The fact that you pair them up only is great. So their can be more cb's available. Very commendable.
That pic with the caterpillar is too cute!! :D
