hello everyone
last year I posted a couple pictures of my 2 jungle carpets (one male and one female) well here are some pics of them a little bit bigger now, eating very well, the one that was snappy is good now I can handle both very easily, the one (the one without the U on its head) used to be a bit snappy, he would only bite if I moved the wrong way but bit me about 3 times wich is nothing I suppose, now they never bite,

unfortunatly I do not know wich is female wich is male yet anyhow.

the cage there in is getting a bit small but I have a nice home for them, I will be cleaning this cage real good tomowrow and on the 20th or so I plan on moving them into there new home, (big cage home built by a friend of mine that is about 6 feet high gonna have some trees in there for them)

I took the pics about 5 hours after they Ate.

Nice snakes buddy.
Lovely colour and nice markings.
Im glad you have a new house for em, that ones way small.
When you set up the heating in the new enclosure try and give them a heat source up high and down low and watch what you have on the floor as they tend to (as im sure you know) strike from a branch and they get bark and crap swallowed with the mice or what ever, this can cause real problems.
Nice snakes and good luck with them.

Cheers

Rick.

Wow, what beautiful snakes. I've always been a huge fan of jungle carpets. Can't wait to get a few myself. :)

Awesome pair! Geez, it looks like someone coloured them with a highlighter!

Are you going to breed them?

In this year's Reptiles Annual, there is an article on Carpet pythons. They mention that cheynei have 2 color variations: gold/black or the less well known cream/brown. Bob Clark writes about them in captivity and Charles Acheson writes about them in the wild. :)
