Is it okay to use windex on my lizards tank to clean the glass?
No. Windex will easily kill reptiles. Vinegar works quite well to clean glass (and germs) or you can use dishsoap and rinse it well ;)

We use a spray bottle with a vinegar/water mix. Cleans well and non-toxic, also handy to have within reach if somebody bites you and wont let go. A quick spritz toward the mouth and they let go, the face they make is most amusing. Not amusing is spraying vinegar in an open wound, in the case of bigger snakes with bigger teeth

Try using a razor and vinegar water. Works well...

Also, distilled water works pretty well, I've picked up on that trick for MY windows, seeing as I hate the smell of windex, and would rather not live in a vinegar-smelling-room... hehe...
You can use it as a temporary thing and it lets you clean more often, as opposed to using the smelly vinegar spray a lot! :) Just a suggestion.
