Saw this guy at work this morning. Fairly typical coloration for around here, maybe a little dark. Snapped a pic or 2, then let him climb this tree. Maybe I'll see him again. Lots of racers around today also.

MAN. I am not a big colubrid fan. But for as long as I can remember Yellow Rats have always put me in awe.

One of my first "pets" was a yellow rat. They are strong snakes and climb with the best of 'em. I cannot remember a yellow that would not eat for me, including many, many wild caught. One of the more common snakes here in central FL., they too are quite variable.

thats a really cool snake...it reminds me of one i saw on the show with the crocodile hunter...hes crazy!

Obviously, I do most of my work outdoors. Maintaining a few condo associations and the properties. Much less boring when you get visits from herps like these. I really enjoy seeing the herps and knowing they are pretty much "going about their business" without many humans knowing they are even there.
Katt, be careful what you wish for! I just got a memory card for my camera on my b'day. No doubt you'll have to put up with more.
