View Full Version : For them pit lovers! *pic*
Ok so it isn't a whole bunch of pics and only one snake. But I can't blame the rest of my pits for being deep in shed! lol.
This here girl is about 4 1/2ft and the sweetest of my pits. Hardly tail rattles even!

Patternless? Or is that how they look?
Way cool. Looks like a tough ambre.
Oh yea, forgot to add that she's a patternless Southern pine.
Now go to bed Jeff! lol

Tryin' to make a stupid banner in Photoshop man. I suck.
I just took a cool macro though.
Hey, is patternless single recessive? Are you breeding them?

Actually Jeff, patternless is co-dom, polygenetic, pray to the shamanistic gods of genetics type of thing.
Yup, you are bang on, simple recessive.
Fuzzy Peach, the fem, pictured is really pretty. Oddly enough I'm not a Pit fan, but those guys are very nice.
Vanan does plan on breeding them next year. (He's right next to me telling me this.)

Ha ha, I'm sure he is!!!
But the question begs itself; in the presence of such killer Pits , how can you not be a fan? I know I would be!!
Cheers. :D

Very impressive pine Vanan - the patternless are quite different and I am sure you are looking forward to offspring from her. Do you have a patternless male as well, or are you going for the traditional?
mary v.
I'll be pairing her up with a patternless male who's a tad darker than her.

That's a very nice-looking Southern, Vanan. I've always liked the look of them, but never got around to acquiring any. I'm hoping to rectify that situation this year.
I used to keep and breed Sonoran Gophers, and I had a gigantic female, well over six feet, likely closer to seven, and just massive to boot! Very impressive and imposing animal, particularly when turning on "the charm", lol.
And I agree with you, the bluffing and hissing that Pituophis are capable of is really quite impressive, and is very much part of the whole Pit "experience"!
Good luck with your beautiful animals.

Dam Vanan, you got a lot of cool snakes. Always showin off something new! Awsome collection!
Aw shucks guys! Thanks for the compliments anyways.
True, Vanan has some nice snakes, especially some particularly wonderful mahogany kingsnakes. Hehehe.
Dunno why I'm not into Pits. The hissing I think. I'm not into that.
His patternless though. oooh, so nice.
Vanan does have some nice Pits I could grow to like.
