View Full Version : need suggestions!!!!!
In November '02 I brought home a few corns and one of the anerys escaped via a faulty lid on a sterilite container. I searched high and low but to no avail. Today when I was in the crawl space putting some boxes away it was just sitting there on a burlap bag!! I imediately brought it up and put it on a uth in a rubbermaid with a lid that I know locks really well. After a couple hours of warming up its moving a lot better now but its not much bigger than a 2 month old corn! I offered it a pinkie mouse but not interested. I actually seen it drinking and I've got the humidity higher than I would for my other corns. Does anyone have any suggestions for when or how I should try and feed it?Is force feeding my only option? We're talking 7 months without food for a snake that was hatched only a couple months b4 it got out. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
thanks,
aaron
I would keep up with the water thing because she will be dehydrated...maybe through a towel over the entire cage, and kinda leave her be with nothing for a few days then try a 1 day old live pinkie.
If that doesn't work, try braining a dead one or freshly killed one. I would definitly give her a few days rest though with a lot of privacy IMHO :)

Make the pinkie bleed and leave it in there overnight. Definitely keep it up with the water. If it doesn't take it, do what marisa said.
Glad you found your snake!
Thanks marisa!
I was under the impression that these guys couldn't go that long w/o food let alone 7 months! Hopefully all wil go well and it'll be eating like mad soon!
Thanks again,
aaron

I lost my hatchling snow corn for 3 months, it took him around 2 days with heat before he ate anything.
