I know this is a bit off topic, but I also know there are some dog fans out there as well.
I met Sheila when I adopted Sarge from her, 1999. At the time, he was still a pup and only 170 lbs.
Last time we weighed Sarge, he was 220 lbs, but I expect he may weigh more than that now.
We took him out to the river today to take some pictures, and I snapped one of him beside our very dirty truck.
I just made a few measuremtns. The tires are 33'', the chrome on the fender is a tad over 40'', and the line his nose is at is 51''.
Sarge is a German bred dog, and much thicker than the average Canadian or American Great Dane.
We have to scan some other pictures we have of Sarge. One shows him standing in our bathroom, his head is as big as the toilet (regulation sized toilet). The other picture shows him holding a fully inflated basket baball in his mouth. His excessive mouth skin hangs over much of the ball, only about 1/2 of it is visable.
Does anyone know if there is a record size for dogs in Canada. I think we might have a challenger.

beautiful dog!
That is a beautifull dog!!! Henry Piorun's dog Tiberius may give him a run for his money as far as size goes, he's absolutely massive.
Here is my pup Bull at 7 months, he is 10 months now and weighs in at around 115lbs. He won't get close to yours but he should be pretty big once he fills out.

Hi Ryan from Craven, nice seeing another Saskatchewanonian on the forums.
Sarge is bigger than Tiberius, Henry and Terri came out in the Fall of 2001 and got to meet Sarge while here. The dog even looked big next to Henry.
Sarge has a long tail that he wags with great force when he is happy. He was so happy to see Henry, that his tail wagged extra hard - met it's mark (near the centre of Henry's body, you figure it out), and nearly dropped Henry to the floor.
We attempted have Sarge breed a compatable female, unfortunately no puppies were had. But Terri was getting the pick of the litter of that attempted breeding, and if he does ever produce puppies, they are the first people getting one (to breed to Tiberius some day hopefully). I expect their dog may some day out weigh Sarge - and it has a really big head also.
(I've only seen pictures of it). Tiberius and Sarge's biggest pup could produce the ulitmate junk yard dogs.
Nice Bandogge Ryan, is it from Beth?
I also like the cat pictures. We used to have a picture of our siamese cat's yawning - they looked truly evil - on either side of sarge - at the start of our web page.

Beautiful dogs Ryan, Shelia ...and Ryan from Craven! The cat pictures are hillarious! lol...
Here are my hounds! Kasper (German Weimeraner) and Oggie (German Short Haired Pointer)
Kasper is my BABY! He still has some filling out to do...he is only 3 years old.
Oggie is 9...we rescued him a month ago from a family that replaced him with a new puppy! He is such a great dog...I dont know what they were thinking! :)
The both of them have become great friends..strange because both are very dominant males. Right now they are paws up on the couch!!...as usuall . lol! Spoiled rotton!

I currently dont have any photos of my pooches but I might as well describe them :)
Tiiu(TEE-YOO) is 10 years old. She is a mix between a collie and a golden retriever. She is 76lbs and is the sweetest mutt in the world!! She is just too wonderful to describe :D
Ilumai(EE-LOO-MY) on the other hand, is a spoiled rat!! She is a purebread chihuahua and weighs 4lbs. She is 6 years old and gets soo much attention. She also loves chewing on Tiiu's legs ;)

Here's my doggy :). Her name is Baby Hershey and she is a pure bred Yorkshire terrier. She will be 2 years old in August and weighs in at about 10 pounds, which I know is pretty big for a yorkie since she was only supposed to be 4 1/2 pounds and the breed should not exceed 7.
I got her the night my silky terrier/yorkshire terrier cross died :(. She is a big joy to keep and everyone LOVES her. They think she's such a cool dog. And my brothers adore her soooo much... I have never seen someone so tough cuddle on such a cute little dog, lol.
Here are some pics :D:

Rachel.....That picture gives me the chills! Why would you let her get so close to something that could easily kill her? That snake could turn around and grab her, and crush her bones, in a blink of an eye! I would be WAY more cautious with her around your big snake... It would be aweful for you to loose another beloved friend...she is SO cute!
Take care :)

Trust me... I didn't let her do that. She was being a little craphead and thought I was playing around. I would try to chase her and grab her, but she's just too damn fast. And she kept coming back and sniffing the snake. I couldn't do anything about it :(. Plus, the snake didn't notice it, so I just snapped a quick pic. The blood python is gone now, though, so I wouldn't worry too much about her getting killed by that snake. Usually before I get my large boids out I make sure Baby is in another room or someone else it watching her, then take them out. I'm pretty cautious about stuff like that. Thanks for being concerned.
Hey Ryan and Shiela,
Yes Bull is one of Beth's pups from Rogues litter last August. Bull had a chance to meet Tiberius as well back when he was about 4-5 months and it was hilarious watching Tiberius try to be as gentle as possible while weighing 160-170lbs + against Bull at 60-70lbs.
I guess I will have to make a trip up to Leader to see that pup of yours(and the reptiles of course), how are the Frog eyed geckos I brought out with me in April?
Oh what the heck! Since everyone's showing off their furry mates, heres my pride and joy. Her full name's Princess Shivea aka "The Ghost", Shivea for short.
Ryan will know why we call her "The Ghost". Whenever we come back home and open the front door she makes it a point to zip by the hallway into the room. So all you see if this white flash, streaking by! She also has another nickname "Sh*t Princess" cos she has this nasty habit of sometimes playing around with pieces of her cr*p like it's some kinda toy. No mouth contact though.
Ok I'd better stop now else I'll keep going on and on about our cats! It's nice to be able to share pics of our non reptilian friends here!

LOL that is a very cute cat...it has personality in the face for sure! :)
Good old dog and stupid cat:

hehehe I really dislike many many cats. Ours is no exception. Just a few days ago she brought home a TINY (but walking) live bunny which the dog thankfully put out of its misery quickly...only for us to discover the dumb cat had quickly ran back to wherever the nest was and grabbed another. The second one got away when we grabbed the cat, although I doubt it lived long on it's own. The cat is not allowed out anymore.
Marisa
Yowser! That cat looks psycho Marisa!! lol!
She is a total moron to tell you the truth, and that's not because I dont like cats.
She doesn't have the proper meow thing in her throat so she sqeeks. Louder and higher pitched than a sqeeky dog toy. And she does this horrible noise if anyone looks at her, calls her name or even touches a hair on her body. And if you pet her the wrong way, well then you get the above photo, a cat bite.
hahaha yeah cats are real fun. :D
Marisa
LMAO! Sounds like an interesting feline fer sure!

Hey Ryan, sent you an email.
What Vanan didn't mention - was that the cat runs into the room and stares at the ceiling - because there is a ghost there.
Walter - you are the only person who has ever said they wanted to be on the other side of the leash with Sarge. A little guy like you is going to get dragged through the cactus. Even I, with my low center of gravity, have to grab hold of a tree when Sarge sees something he wants to go after.
When Sarge dies, we are having his skeleton done by Perry S. Seems kinda morbid to some, but less morbid than the head mount that I had first thought of.

A headmount?! Only you guys would come up with something as freaky as that! lol!
Hey Ryan and Sheila,
I've been having problems with my computer so I haven't been getting all my messages, send me a pm or use my hotmail e-mail, hopefully I get it.
Ryan.
p.s. I guess having your dogs skeleton done is definately one way to remember a pet or freak out annoying relatives.

Absolutely beautiful dogs, all of u! I really enjoyed seeing and reading about them all! Dogs are my favorite beings on the planet. There really is no one more compassionate. Treat them well, they are gorgeous!!!!!!
By the way, my dog's name is Cocoa. She is a mix between a miniature pinscher and a german shepard (unlikely mix, i know, but it happened). She is beautiful and sweet. I've grown up w/dogs since the day I was born, and she is the best I've ever lived with. Never felt a bond like this before. Sorry, no pic, but she is sable colored w/shepard marking but built like the pinscher. She is about 48 lbs. of awesomeness.

Well, I gotta show off my doggie too then...
This is Coco (ya I know I named him when I was 9). He will be 12!!! years old this September and just won a battle with cancer on his leg. Coco is the biggest teddy bear ever, man do I miss him, he is living with my mom in Edmonton.

Hey Vanan, I think Shivea has a long lost twin, this is Zim. This cat is insane! All you gotta do it brush by him and he will start purring. He purrs so loud that it can be heard all over the house and so hard that it makes him choke and cough. Once he starts, he will go on for hours too...

WOW! Sarge is absolutely gorgeous!! My favorite breed is the Dane. My dream dog will be my female harlie GD, but the tuxedos are my second favorite! =) I'm a sucker for black and white animals. Congrats on having such a beautiful boy.
