Driftwood and rocks??

How do I make sure that their safe to go into my lizard tanks?? One pieace is way to big to go into the oven to bake. So any hints or tips . . . huh huh none yet I guess I'll have to wait ;)

i have heard that having it sandblasted will do the trick dont know who does sand blasting but i am sure you can find that out on the net or in the yellow pages. you could always cut the wood then put it back together once you have finished baking it easier said then done i'm sure. sorry but thats all my ideas

I've heard that soaking driftwoood in bleach water for a day, then rinsing it thoroughly and soaking it in regular water for day, then allowing it to fully dry before putting it in your herp enclosure is safe and easy. The bleach will kill any vermin that happens to be on it. Of course, I'm no expert in this matter, but I have seen that on quite a few herp sites.

I've picked up a few pieces of drift wood over the past while and soaked it in a strong mix of bleach and water. I then soaked in hot water for a couple days changing the water numerous times.
The wood becomes a nice color and i feel safe that it is clean.
This is what i do, it is at my own risk but i feel it is safe.

soak til thoroughly water logged in a 10 part bleach 90 part water solution, then bake in an oven at 400 for 2 hours.
