Ugh... just when finally the herp ring viruses started to slow. I remember a while back when I was getting 10+ viruses daily from herpers :(

I got the same virus twice from him. Who is he? It is supposedly a pretty bad virus. basically a good rule of thumb for e-mails is never open any attachment from someone you don't know, and be careful even with e-mails from friends. Just because it comes from someone you know doesn't mean that they even know its being sent.

never ever open a .exe file from anyone for sure

I also got one entitled "NEW REPTILE SCREENSAVER", luckily I emailed the person that sent it to me before I opened it to find out if it was legit. It was not. I think we have a disgruntled herper techie :)

Brian is a fairly large breeder in michigan....

the tricky thing about it is that i have emailed brian before and he has emailed me, so when i saw his name, it didnt stike me as out of the ordinary, i opened the email but my virus scanner caught it!

i wouldnt have opened the attachment either way

has anyone else gotton this on yet????

Got it this morning, if you have Norton it will catch it.

Thankfully I have less to worry about with my Mac, viruses just don't know what to do on it.

I recv. the same message from buddy Brian yesterday & it looked like some kind if screensaver type file. I have never heard of him or corressponded with him, so I am assumming that the virus is obtaining addresses from ssnakess people or from its system. My Norton caught it right away, but could not fix it, so it was quaratined. I deleted it right away so I can't tell you what the virus is called anymore, but it had a funny name. If my Norton couldn't fix it even after being updated, it must be nasty, so watch out people & delete it right away. Mine was also sent in reguards to some "Albino Nelsons" which clued me in because I don't have any & didn't knoiw buddy, plus Norton caught it before it was even recv. It couldn't fix it , but it stopped it. Hopefully the rest of you are as fortunate. Remember CYA FOLKS! Mark I.
