You won't get much for it there are already tons of large snakes out there that people can't afford to keep.

Heh. well what i dont understand is why your concerned about price. If i loved my pet and did not want it to be put down i would look for someone with expierence in the matter and just give him away. Plus your not gunna get much for him anyway.
You could try reptibid.com or just look for wanted adds in the paper. Good luck and i hope the snake does not get put down. Another sad case of people not knowing what they are getting into.

If it does not work out with Chondro, then let me know. I am in the US, and I have taken in a few large snake species from others on this board. I have taken in two African Rocks, and I can take in this burm as well. Let me know if I can help you (after you talk to chondro, that is, he was first).

unfortunately, large pythons, burms and retics, along with large columbians are nearly impossible to sell, and almost impossible to give away, in the last years I have been fortunate to place 1 :12ft 110lb albino burm, and 1 '12ft 60 normal burm. there has been a 7 ftr normal advertised for $350 for 8 weeks in the paper. getting rid of a giant is based on luck just finding someone that can house it and care for it. forget cash, lucky if you don't have to pay someone to take it. this is a BIG why most petstores should not be allowed to sell reptiles period, and most folks buying them should be banned from the hobby.

well I would love to buy it but I just cant seem to convince my G/F she saw the price and said no way She told me we would pay the shiping but she will not buy a burm that size she would only take it off his hands if there is no other option ( vet's needle) she refuses to pay the price of a baby burm.
That is just the way she is built but last i heard I think he found a home for it but I might have read the e-mail too fast.
it is not that she dose'nt want a burm she just sais that if we are gona pay for one we will get a baby and raise it to be our own

If anyone wants a burm of that size, just do a search of rescues online. THere are many burms of that size and bigger looking for homes.
It is very difficult to sell giant snakes once they reach a certain size. Many people who take them into their homes wouldn't even think of paying for them because they could just go to a rescue and pick one up for the $50 adoption fee.
If you really would like it to go to a good home, adopt it to someone.

yeah. i did find a home for him. there is an animal rescue place about ten min. from where i live. i checked the place out yesterday. they have a baby ball python that i fell in love with. i want one someday. after i graduate that is. they said that they can house it but i'll have to feed and take care of it. that's fine with me. because it's so close to my house. thanx for all your help.
