I believe the one you are refering to lives in Oregon and makes,do I dare say it for fear of public forum retaliation. No I will not say the word so I shall rephrase it, he makes poor little venomless reptiles. (in theory, I wouldn't stake my life on it)
Dude you just opened a can of worms, and it has been kindof peaceful around here.

He was one of the largest producers of venomoids. I have heard that he is out of it now. That still does ot change my opinion of him. >(
Im no expert, but ive heard somewhere (croc hunter...lol) that some venom helps digest the snakes prey. with this in mind i have a few questions.
1) do venomoids have digestion problems or any other problems?
2) is there a mortality rate among the creation of venomoids?
ever since watching those snake wranglers on animal planet ive wanted to own some hots. but dont want the danger. are venomoids up my alley? man im just kidding dont take that seriously. :)
actually those shows have sparked an interest in snakes, but i wouldnt own hots, atleast not now or anytime soon. I wont rule it out, but i really have no desire to own something potentially deadly. i have however started a collection of boids and colubrids for 3 years now, and love them. ive read a bit about hots and find them interesting. venomoids are entirely new to me. to me it seems a bit messed up to make venomoids. they seem like a lame alternative to having the real thing.
3) but i would like to know how much experience you hot handlers have had before having them?
4) and what kind of experience / what kind of snakes did you own?
Thanks

There ya go Rustie. Just click the VENOMOID THREAD, I gave it a bump ;)
As for #2, there is a high mortality rate during the surgury, they kill alot of snakes. And #3, I trained for 2 years before owning a hot.
