Hermit crab snack

OOps!!!! My beardie ate my new (but dead) hermit crab!!! I put it by the light for a second to see if it would move and actually be alive, set it down for one second eek: and she ripped it out of the shell. Now I will never know if that hermit crab was dead or alive. Sob:( :( that is one less hermit crab for me. Hopefully she won't get near the other two! They are alive and well. What a snack eh?

I don't even know what to say.

But one thing is for sure, you should watch the beardie VERY closely because I wouldn't doubt some sort of impaction comes from that.

Next time you need to know if a hermit is dead or alive, gently place it in some lukewarm/room temp water.
