Well the Ribbon Snake has been in her new home for 24 hours now. And I already have some questions.

The guy at the pet store says that because this is an active snake, she'll be eating more than my python. Like more than once a weed. Is that true? If so I should go find get some fishies.

Also, I hear that these are very active snakes. But mine, ever since she discovered her little coconut hide house thingy, hasn't come out. I hope she's just getting used to things.

I have to admit, I couldn't resist and handled her a tiny bit this morning. Well...she SH** all over me! lmao I think it was Musk...not sure. lol Obviously she was saying "Put me the F*** down!" lol

But I'm still all happy that I took her home :)

Lol Thats funny. Well hey congrats on the Ribbon! Considering you got her yesterday or the day before, shes prolly still coolin down in her new house. She should start becoming active. I dont know a thing about the species but It usually takes my snakes about 4 days before they're out and about. :)

She's hiding becuase she nervous about her ne home like you said she was at that pet store a very long time. Handling hewr this mourining didt help, but I porbly couldt have resisted either. Just let her get used to it. My riibon and green just satyed in their hides for all day then at night they crawled all around. They never misked on me but everytime my sis picked them up they did on her. I think snakes are smarter then people think. I hate people I wished I could be a dolphin, blue whale, or 100ft anaconda.

LOL Yeah, I couldn't resist. But she showed me who's boss. Well, a very smelly boss. Yeah I was hoping it just means she's getting used to it. And I'll surely leave her alone now. A good two weeks of solitude! lol

Good idea, and as for your feeding question snakes in the family Thamnophis, generally eat more beacuse they are more active and their food is also easier to digest.
