I can't beat it. Can't even come close. But my babies did move with me to Montreal from Vancouver. Quite the distance travelled, no? Glad to hear there are others out there with the same interest in Chelonians. Don't seem to be too many here.
Nearly forgot my list!

Our Eastern box turtle is named Bob. My daughter named him because when we first got him he bobbed his head alot when frieghtened. Now he is used of us, her more as she plays with him more than I do. And she goes around the house with him singing "Bob, the boxier, he can box!" to the tune of Bob the builder. lol, it's too funny! Just had to share that. :D

Another interesting point that I have witnessed is that they don't grow very fast either.. I by no means starve my animals, but I have 4 alligator snappers that are all over 3 years old and only around 3" or so.. I raised 1 of these from a hatchling, and friends of mine had the other 3. I would have thought they'd grow very large very fast judging by their adult size.

David, I've never really cared much for aquatic turtle, just because I hate the aquarium upkeep with all that water. lol, hated fish for that too. But our water is terrible and there was always so much work to make it suitable for the fish that I just gave up. But, I have to say, that little bugger is cuter than words!! Hope you find him a girlfriend. :)

I have been keeping aquariums since I was eight years old. Keeping aquariums is second nature to me. I was fortunate enough to keep some rather large and small aquarium fish as well as at times experimenting with a variety of community aquariums. Some of the notable combinations I have tried are a school of cardinal tetras with an Asian Arrowana. Needless to say the school just provided a gourmet meal and lots of fun for the Aro. I have tried a large school of white cloud minnows in there as well but many of them got sucked into the overflow filter. I can go on and on about aquariums but this is a herp forum. I do however moderate this forum and encourage ppl to join if they're interested PM me. :P

Be nice.
