Reminder to burm owners...

Awsome snake........but no thank you. I would rather use that space for about a thousand different herps......judging by how big that snake is you probably could. Beautiful though isn't it!

Agreed about the space thing! They are an amazing snake, but I would only have one if it was my only herp really. It seems to me it would take a lot of space and attention to keep one the way I would want too! (HUGE cage, etc)

I wonder how they feel about so many people holding them? If they even care?

That is Rob Charmichael's 18' female Burm. Last she was measured she was 18'. Just FYI to all that is NOT full grown!!! of course most burms don't see that size because they are not provided proper care, and die prematurely. This girl I believe is at the Lake Forest Nature Center, in Lake Forest IL. not too far from me. She has been to Reptile Fest in Chicago a couple times, and in person is an amazing specamin. Rob does an aweful lot with educating the public about large boids.

Beautifull snake! Mine should be close to that soon. She's 15ft now and just turned 2 years old. Very healthy and very happy.

i'm wondering. how often should you feed a burm. i feed my burm a full size rabbit every two weeks. He's 8 feet know. is that under feeding it?

WOW look at the girth and the size of that head!!!! I cant wait till my burm gets like that. BUt hes a he, so he doesnt have as good a chance. Im not sitting here with my burm but i got my boa and she'll get nice and big also:)
Copper I believe you should feed them 1 appropriately sized meal item once a week. I have my snakes on a schedule of every sunday.
