Could a few of you who have them post some pics? I saw today that they are around $100.ea for '02s. Less than they used to be, but I still don't find them to be as nice as say, a really good looking ghost. But I have not seen many adults either. Someone enlighten me please. Thanks

here are two of my lavenders

these are way different from the ghost that you were talking about. The genetic make up of the snake from a ghost is already really different. Ghost is a anery hypo where as a lavender comes from a lavender gene. The lavender gene is kind of like an other form of the anery genes. Also the colors on the snake is really a light purple color on it thus the name lavender.
Also if you say that they are around 100 each....then you better let me know where to get these....cause from what I know Rich Zuchowski, Don Solderberg, and Kathy Love all sells the Lavenders for $150US which is around $250 Canadian.....only small breeders sell out their snake cheaper than the market price and they only want to sell the animal out to the market faster. But the quality (health issue) and looks of the animal might not be as good as getting these snakes from a well reputated breeder.
Hope this helped!

Simon, I WAS talking about Rich!! We were talking for a few minutes today at his table. I picked up a little ghost I needed. And yes, I do know the difference, it is just my opinion that most are not as nice as pretty ghosts. Even for $100. Can't wait for all the morphs to follow from the lavenders though. The hypo lavenders, etc. do show a lot of promise

Very nice Simon.
A friend of mine has a great pair. We paired my female anery with his male lavender who is also het for anery and I got ten eggs out of it. I also have a normal female het for lavender that should be ready for this coming season. I think they are awsome but like you Mark I like ghost. Next year I'm pairing my anery with a hypo motley with the plans of some day producing motley ghost. Actually I'm just going to try and get motleys in every colour I can!
Cheers,
Trevor

Yeah, out of the "newer" stuff, I actually liked a few butter motley corns I've seen. Good luck with all these morphs! I get a headache thinking too much.

Yea I do agree with Mark, the lavs don't seem that much different than some ghosts. In fact IMO, I've seen better looking ghosts than lavs. But I guess to each his own. :D

Too many! Go to South Mountain Reptiles (http://www.cornsnakes.net/cornprice.php3#Snow%20Corn%20Snake) to see just some of the more established ones. Breeders are combining different morphs all the time to come up with new stuff. And then there are locals to like Okeetee and Miami. These are normal but look different then a regular normal corn. Nicer colours but no receive colour or pattern mutations.
Cheers,
Trevor

Simon! If you have too many corns and you must get rid of a few of your corns i'll take them!!!! :D
I find lavs nice than ghost because of the color they have in there patterns of their head as adults.
very nice snakes!
