They are both nice snakes, but why would you breed a BCI to a BCC???

hummm to get some little baby boas ? :)
ummmm but wouldnt that be a hybrid, why not get a male suri and a female columbian and keep it the way it should be.

maybe but its not that I really care, I want to finally make it and have a litter.. after we will consider having another mate for her..
BCC bloodlines are still relatively clean in Canada, why do you want to further contribute to the contamination of bloodlines? Down the road those little baby boas may get sold as being either BCI or BCC and incorporated into someone elses breeding program for pure animals, and they would have no way of knowing, then out into the world go a bunch more crossbreeds being sold as pure. Due to crossbreeding, now many species and subspecies are no longer pure, such as Indian Pythons, Burmese, and Hog Isle boas. If everyone continues to hybridize, one day perhaps all the BCC will contain a portion of other BC blood. The red wolf is now completely extinct in its pure form due to hybridization. I think it's a little selfish to hybridize animals in that matter just because you want to produce babies and that's what you have to work with. And your female is a realy beauty, she could contribute some beautiful *pure* BCC babies to the population if she was provided a suitable -same subspecies- mate ;)

He does but i dont see why people dont just lable them as scross breeds and just keep it that way. I like your snakes PoiSoNouS my boa is all dark like the male but i breeding it with a lighter one like your female so i hope i get some nice red tails.

Because not everyone is that honest, and the people that purchase the babies may breed them later on and sell those babies as being purebreds to get more money, or sell the babies themselves at a later date as purebreds. The world (especially in herps) is very crooked... I don't like to sound down on the hobby but in all reality there is more dishonesty and BS in it than anything. Really quite sad :(
P.s- I'm a she ;)
