got a new iguana

hey all! i finally got an iguana that behaves itself. he's about 2 1/2 years old...3 feet (with the tail) and i named him - Kimi Da- which means " hey you". :) hopefully i will get some pics of him on here soon, for all of you to see. i'll keep you posted on how he's doing.

cool. but what do you mean " i got an ig that behaves itself"?? did you recently have an ig that didnt and you gave away. Im not saying you did im just saying this for any that read this, cuz an ig can be VERY tame but during breeding season, WATCH OUT. Ever read the reptiles issue about the lady that had to have reconstructive surgery on her nose after her "tame" ig bit her. Remember Im not saying you had a mean one and gave it away, just typing this for extra info.

But ya I cant wait to see some pics and an update. Hows he takin to his enclosure and everything? did he destroy it yet

first off...yes i had a misbehaving iguana whom i gave to someone who would be able to provide an adequate cage for her. she just wasn't cutting it as a free-roamer. the male i just got is VERY well behaved and is doing very well as a free roamer. he is even doing very well with his potty training! he is actually very good about not destroying anything. he roams around my room and climbs up on his logs to bask whenever he wants. i iguana proofed my room before i got him and there is absolutely NOTHING that he can get into. i'll get the pics on here asap, but until then, if you have anymore q's feel free to ask.
