Hehe if you comsider 18 young, then I'm with you. Although I only started VERY recently. I don't have any photos and such. I just have been reading about snakes since I was 6 years old. And just now am I becoming an active member of the herp community. I've gone out on a couple of herping expiditions but with no luck so far :(

I am 20 but I have been into reptiles, amphibians, arachnids, etc, etc. since I was old enough to crawl. So I used to be a young herper. I have drawers and book shelves full of herp research I have done and books, etc. I fully support getting into herpetology when you are young, I did and I will be herping until I die.

Im 15 and getting some excellent breeding projects together.
I'm 11 and I have been herping since I was 9. Buy the way garterguy, I saw a vicious garter snake for £10 in a pet store today. Do you think it could be tamed? I think it's about 3 years old.

Well, if you consider catching toads out of the sewer when I was 4, then I guess I've been into herps longer than I thought!

Okay yeah, I'm a young herper. I am 14 years old and have been into herpetology all my life since I was 2, believe it or not. When I caught my first lizard at that age I immediately feel in love! I've been actually keeping and taking care of herps since I was almost 6. I started actually getting into some good (I dunno if you'd call it hardcore or not) herping with my friends for about 2 years now, but always liked to go out and find and catch stuff when I was younger.
This is my life's dream to do everything with herptiles :)

im 15 and 16 realy soon ive been into reptiles for a long time i have been breeding them for 4 years but like evreyone else been out catching toads and frogs and garter snakes since i was 6 or 7
When I was 12 I joined the OHS and when I went to meetings everyone else was like 50, so it felt kinda weird being the only young kid there. It is good to see that there are soooo many more young herpers out there now. I remember the only lizards you could buy back then were Iguanas and Anoles, now you can get almost any kind you want, ahh, to be young agian.. well I guess 23 is not considered old yet... but then neither is 50 if you dont feel old inside, I guess its our own choice to be old or not... well thats enuf from me!!
I'm 15, soon to be 16, been into herps since 6 but got discouraged from ages 11-14 due to deaths of a few garters that were wonderful pets. Back into it now, and staying.
