Caught in the act again.....

All the years and I've never seen a snake lay an egg, and this year, I've caught 5 different females actually laying eggs!! Amazes me everytime!!

Might get some hypos out of this one!! Fingers, toes, etc etc ahem....are crossed!!

Well, its late and she's still going. I guess I'll have to wait until the morning. She seems pretty tired. Only 1 more to go though. Damn those eggs are big for a colubrid!

Hey I noticed your post on corns changing color. I never noticed any of my female corns changing colors, but that was a while ago, and you could probably fill encyclopedias with stuff that I overlooked and missed back in the day!! LOL!!

But I do know that a lot of boids lose color after their first clutch. Jungles, Rainbows (especially), Ball morphs, etc etc. Not sure of the reason. Sorry I couldn't be of help. :-(

That's o.k. although I did enjoy my dark peachy colored corn...I suppose I can live with a bleached out one! *L*

She's still nice so I wouldn't fret!! But watch other females and see if they do the same thing. You may be on to something.

I can't wait until next year when I get to try these guys!! I should have bought some 5 years ago. I missed the boat on that one! :mad:
