I really like these photos I got of "Wee" my Golden Gecko tonight. It helped that he was at his "goldest" when I took them too. He always gets really bright at nighttime......purple when he's upset! :D

Wow I don't think I will ever look at golden the same way again. That is georgous! Come to think of it I don't think I have ever seen one in a non stressful environment. Maybe that is why their color was dark.

aw! sweet:) but arent those flowers a little girlish for a guy gecko?? lol
what are they like as pets? are they handle-able or are they one of those geckos which run all over the place, down your leg, across the floor, over the stool and off into the darkness?? o>

haha they are NUTS.

They shouldn't really be handled as they have delicate almost paper like skin. But originally I recieved Wee from a friend who used to insist he enjoyed coming out. He would take Wee out and of course Wee would FLY around the room. He also complained (my friend) that he wouldn't eat anything but apricot baby food.

When I got Wee he refused crickets or any animal type foods for over 3 months. He had already lived on baby food for a full year when he was in the care of my friend. When I got him I set him up in a well planted enclosure, and left him alone for 3 months aside from watering and baby food. Sure enough, he started eating crickets and now has no problem polishing off a dozen or two at a feeding!

But every single time we have to handle him (cage cleaning etc) he goes off crickets for a few weeks. So I must say, handling stresses them out. :D But they are a great display pet and Wee goes out of his way to have a relationship with us aside form handling. He eats out of our hands (crickets, baby food, chopped fruit) and he chirps, and comes to the front of the cage when we are near him.

They are really ejoyable, but need lots of settling time. And yeah he complains about pink flowers all the time! HAHA :D
