Here is a pic I snapped a few minutes ago of Speckles, the largest and suspected female of our 2 red-eyes.

We are intending on expanding the collection but while we were waiting for some more to arrive at the pet store (we asked them to order more in for us) we found out that they had switched to a new supplier from the states. It turned out that the new supplier didn't have all of the necessary permits to ship the animals into Canada and everything was stuck at the border for days. Needless to say that the only animals that did survive to make it was a group of bearded dragon babies, the rest all perished at the border. I know that everyone makes mistakes but this one cost the lives of numerous animals (I didn't get the info on how many and exactly what types except that the red-eyes were in the shipment). It was a terrible thing to hear and I hope that it will be the last time that the pet store deals with that particular supplier.

So as for now we are waiting on another pet store who should be getting some in in the next few weeks.

Anyways with all of that said I hope you enjoy the pic!!!

Hey Matt. Why do you buy from a pet store? Why not a breeder? Wouldn't it be cheaper? That is dicusting about that order. Poor animals.

At the time we did the initial setup a few months ago we didn't want to have to many in case things did not work out to well and there is no one in our area that breeds that guys that we can find. The two that are in the picture (you can see one under the leaf and the other is on the back wall under the aqua bed which is in turn under the fake vine . . . . yeah it is a lousy shot but not too bad for taking it in the dark and having no camera skills at all . . . . lol) cost my girlfriend $89.99 plus tax each (they were a present for me) and it would have cost around the same amount to get two from Ontario and have them shipped so we didn't see the point in going that route.

The pet store that we are waiting on (not the one that had the animals die at the border) told us that they only get them in one the weather is warm enough to have them shipped and that they are captive bred. Plus they told us that they usually cost around $40 so we couldn't be happier. Needless to say that now that the weather is starting to get warmer we are definately going to be getting our little frogs from there (we were only going to get one because the price was up to $99.99, but that was before we discovered this new store so now we are planning on two).

I like that pic! $40 is a good price no matter who you get it from. Buy the way that is a great tank!

We actually just fixed up the tank the other day. (oh in case people don't know...i'm "Red-eye_Matt"'s girlfriend).
We did have all the plants in pots...but since they were outgrowing them, and it didn't look the best we decided to just plant them in the dirt....I think it looks much nicer and the froggies seem to love it.
