More eggs!

I got two more really nice eggs from Aurora this weekend. This is her fourth clutch so far. The first clutch is doing great. The second clutch, the one that was fertile but moldy went rotten over the weekend, and her third clutch was really small and dented. This time I fed her a pinkie during her feeding period before she laid this 4th clutch and I can't believe how amazing the eggs look compared to the second and third clutches. I really think it's an important step for gravid females. Anyway, just thought I'd share my glee.

Uh huh! I candled them already and they both glow yellow but one I'm positive there is a big red vein and the other one I think so too. Is it normal for them to glow yellow the first couple doys before glowing pink?

hey Alice, yes it is normal for some to glow yellow for the first few days. I have had some glow yellow for over a week and then poof pink with veins. ;) Good luck with the eggs and congrats!! The waiting is a killer!! I got 6 more eggs 2 nights ago. I'm up to about 20 fertile in the incubator and have had 19 hatch so far. I am really addicted to these guys. lol.

Oh, and I got pics of one of my new boys doing his thing with a first year breeder female that I will be posting to my site sometime this week. My babies aren't vergins anymore. lol.

hehe I felt the same way when Aurora and Diggy got it on...I was like um maybe they should be using protection!
