What do i feed my snake

I wanted to know if anyone had any ideas on what to feed my snake? She will not eat anything but gerbils, and they are alot of money and are hard to come by. She will not take prekilled food at all i have offered her many of times and never takes it. When she was little she got bitten by a mouse and would not eat them after that. And a few months ago she got bitten by a rat and now will not eat them at all. I thought that she would grow out of it or give in and eat after awhile but she went 8 months without eating cause she did not like what i was giving her. I went to PA. to vist family and while i was up there i went to a petstore and got 5 gerbils for 5 dollars. And she ate them all already now i have know idea what to do does anyone have any idea's?

Have you tried scenting a rat or mouse with a gerbil? Sometimes that'll work... Or doing a "chaser" -- feed her a gerbil, and then a rat/mouse right after it...

Yeah i have tried the scenting thing that did not work she's to smart for that. I have done the chaser to i got her to eat a mouse once by doing that with a rat when she was still eating them. But when she eats gerbils she grabs them so fast when i put them in there that sometimes there still in my hand, shes so quick.One time i did a gerbil then a rat real quick after and i guess she still smelt the gerbil and she went after my hand instead of the rat. Thanks for the ideas though. I just don't know what i'm going to do with her, my other bp eats anything dead,alive,mice,rats she's alot better of an eater then my other one is.

Have you read the tips in the ball python manual? If you've tried all the tricks you could part with her and get a better feeder or start breeding gerbils.

Thanks for the tips, I will have to try and get a breeding pair of gerbils. That might just do the trick.

A couple months ago i was taking are of a snakee in the same possition he wouldnt eat none of my freshly killed mice so i went back to the pet stor and bout* another live one put it in the cage he looked at it for a second then SMACK!!!! He ait it hole , when my friend came back he was so happy that he didnt have to buy those exspinsive gerbels any more. Im not saying you should do it but if you do watch the snake because you dont want a biten up ball.
