One of my eggs just hatched. I now have a baby!! I'm very excited but was not ready. I thought I had another month. So I have it setup in a way too big tank right now. My sister has my 10g tank with the UTH, so it's in a 25g tank. I do have lots of hides in there, I plan on feeding baby mealworms out of a dish so it doesn't really have to hunt anything. My question is what do I do now?? It crawled into a hide and has not moved, is that normal?? I do plan on putting it in the smaller tank as soon as I can get it back. So any tips/hints?? I just read another post, I'm not sure when it hatched but as soon as I found it I removed it and threw out the egg, I'm thinking now that I shouldn't have. My first thought was just to remove it so that it didn't turn the other eggs over and kill them.

A 25 gal is probably way too big for a baby. You'd be better off with a small rubbermaid so it isn't so afraid. Or maybe section off a part of the tank.
Also, pinhead crix are fine as starter food, baby leos are well equipped to hunt! Also, you run the small risk of hooking your leo on mealies, which arent a good staple diet.

I don't have access to crickets right now, my local petstore just closed. I don't plan on keeping in there for long. I think I'll just secton off part of the tank so it's not so big.
