i was wondering if i cover my ball's python's tank (outside, not the top) would it help reduse stress so he doesn't see people and helps make his tank seem darker at night when i have my computer on.

Definitely. That is a very good idea. Lots of people have done it with good success. Try it and see. It definitely won't be harmful.

I suggest a rubbermaid container they come in many diffrient colors but almost all are transparent you can see inside good enough to check out your herp but its hard for them to see out they feel more comfortable it works really well i strongly recomend it

I have all of the backs my tanks painted either blue or black. THe side and front are left unpainted.

The best way to make your snake feel secure is to provide a Hide Box. I have hide boxes in all my snake cages. I have the opening of the box facing away from the front of the cage so the snake doesn't see anything (or anyone) who approaches the cage.
