I know it's kind of out of subject but this is the method of payment I've been considering for buying reptiles. Is it a safe method of payment? Is there still the possibility of being ripped off by someone using this method? Just basically let me know everything that's important to know. Thanks to all those who reply.

I think it is fairly safe. The person goes to a bank or post office and pays for the money order then mails it to you. Once you receive it just take it to the bank and cash it.
I'd accept it as a payment. Once received the shipment is sent.
Hope it helps

It is safe for the seller as a money order is considered cash by the bank and therefore can't "bounce". However it provides no security for the buyer as once it is cashed you can't get you money back even if you get no product.
If you are talking about security for the buyer you gotta put it on you credit card that way you can reverse the charges if you don't get it. If the seller can't do credit cards then do it through paypal.
