I was wondering why my post got moved. Correct me if I'm wrong but is it true that you can't post if its in the classified section. This is why I put it in the general discussion thread

You can't reply to someones post in the classifieds....if you put a classified here....odds are it got moved because it doesnt belong here either! Take some time and read the rules to the classified section!

i noticed that you had an ad for rats?? Well, the thread got moved to the classifieds. If people have questions about your Rats, they can email you or PM you through the site!

I guess that noone has yet realized it is much easier to have all the questions and answers about the for sale item all in one thread instead of doing a hit or miss on finding multiple threads about the item.
It seems that it would be beneficial to have any questions associated with the for sale items on the actual threads so that any further info requests can be seen by everyone, instead of using everyones valuable time composing mail & PMs and then anothers time spent answering all of the mails and PMs....
Besides, a post on questions with a follow up with answers on the sale thread would probably cover every interested party on one read.

Just food for thought.

Yes I agree there is no reason why you shouldn't be able to post on classified threads. Can a mod or someone tell me why its like that . What is the point? Also how did the omen reply?

Thats the way the classifieds are run. You post something for sale, including all the info people will need to know and they email you or PM you if they are interested. It cuts back on the amount of clutter you get in your thread. The Omen was able to reply here because this is in the general forum..

Oh I forgot what thread I was in my bad. I think though maybe some people would like to have there wanted ads replied too. Instead of having to go check your pm's and e-mail. Maybe if its possible you could change that I'm sure plenty of people would like that to be changed. I could be wrong. Anyone out there that would like to see that changed can you put your feedback in. I want to know if its just me that would like to see that changed. One more thing I forgot to ad is I got a lot more replies when I had it in a thread where they could reply to.

thats the way it used to be and we switched it over to this format where it is running 100% better.. Checking your PMs isnt really that hard, there are right there as you sign into ssnakess.com.. And most people check their email daily.. especially if you're selling something..

I think it's good the way it is. If someone has a question that they email the seller about and the seller feels all interested parties would like to know the answer, they can always edit the ad to include such info (I would hope). It would definitely get confusing having some people email to say they were interested and some reply to the thread to do so, then the seller has to look all over the place to tell what's what.

It's not that difficult to check the thread. I just feel there should be the option. Oh and another question I had how is it running a 100% better. I know I'm new to this site but I feel its better to have the option than not have an option at all.

We had it the other way... People were abusing it plain and simple, so now its like this and its not changing.

Insults, fighting in the ad's, talkign about stuff that has nothing to do with the sale whatsoever... It was Chaos, we warned peopel several times, we ended up having to watch the classifieds and run through them with a fine comb, because people wouldnt follow the rules. Ideally it would be nice that way, but reality is, it doesnt work here.

I'll throw in my 2 cents worth also. I like the way it is now. If I was using the classifieds to sell something I don't want people posting saying that they have the same thing for sale, or that they think what I'm selling is cool or they liked the picture I displayed or they used to own one or whatever. Email me if you want to enquire about whats for sale is a good policy. There are multiple forums to discuss things. Classifieds are Classifeds they are not a chat room. My thoughts & oh yeah SSNAKESS ROCKS!!!
