View Full Version : 16 Corn Eggs
Hey
My Okeetee corn just laid 16 eggs. All but 2 look good, and even those don't look too bad...they r just a little yellowish(does this mean they r duds?) Anyways I'm pretty excited as this is my first time to have atempted breeding...
Now for the long part...waiting for the to hatch
By the way, she was bred with a snow corn

Awesome!:D! I'm pretty sure that yellow is bad. Good luck during the incubation process:D

They may not be bad so treat them the same as the rest until you are sure. Duds will usually be smaller & off color compared to the rest & have a tendancy to be laid either at the beginning or at the end of a clutch. They will usually feel much different as well. They will seem more like bags of water whereas good eggs are usually much firmer to the touch & the bad ones feel kind of slimy sometimes. If they are bad you will find out soon enough as they will begin to go bad making it very easy to tell them from the good ones. Unless you are 100% sure they are dead & rotting keep them as I have seen babies come out of some pretty nasty looking eggs before. Mark I.

Congrats! Put them all in the incubator for at least a few days just to be sure. That is what I do unless it is really obviouse.
Cheers,
